Philly Basket Brigade Day Event Details:
When: Saturday, November 23rd 2024 Beginning at 9:00 am : Our goal is to feed 500 Families this year!!
Where: Woodside Church
1667 Edgewood Road Yardley, PA 19067 Philadelphia Families -We NEED your help to reach our goal!!
Parking: On site
What should I wear? Dress comfortably!! Jeans and sneakers are great!
What should I bring? If you ae going to assemble baskets AND help to unload the truck at the food bank, Please bring a lunch / snacks so you can grab a bite in between activities or while traveling to the food bank in Philadelphia. If you have any packing tape dispensers and / or hand carts, please label them with your name and bring them with you.
What do I do when I get there? Come inside to the registration table and check in. Volunteers will be there to direct you.
Basket Brigade Day Estimated Schedule:
The Philly Basket Brigade is an organic process from start to finish. The following is a rough schedule of events, but the time involved to assemble baskets really depends on the number of volunteers who show up on that day.
** Setup: Create Boxes, Create Assembly Line, Unload Groceries
** Registration & Check In: All volunteers must check in at registration tables! Please register ahead of time so this moves quickly for you!
** Welcome & Brigade Day Instructions
** Assembly Line: Packing the Baskets!
** Load the truck with all of the Baskets!
** Unloading Volunteers will drive to the Feast of Justice in Philadelphia and help Unload the truck with all of the Baskets!

As you sit down at your own Thanksgiving Dinner table this year, be sure to remind your children and loved ones that families in the Philadelphia Area are also enjoying their meal because of the "Giving" that your family donated.
